We have added a small sawmill to the ranch!

This is primarily for taking any dead or dying trees that are generated when we are spacing trees properly in the forest and processing these to be used in building projects on Longview Ranch. 

Here at Longview Ranch try to be as self-sustaining on the ranch as we possibly can be. 

And we think it's pretty cool to continue the legacy of our buildings being built with Longview Ranch lumber.   

We have houses on the ranch that people still live in today that are over 115 years old.   All of them were constructed with timber off of the Longview Ranch.   We have spent countless hours preserving these homes and our history, even when it would be easier to just tear a house down and rebuild it, we invest the money to save the old structures wherever possible.
