Longview Ranch: Grazing and Supporting Healthy Habitats

Located in Central Oregon's picturesque John Day River Territory, Longview Ranch maintains 30,000 stunning acres of diverse landscape. While the primary purpose of the property is raising grass-fed cattle, Longview Ranch has passionately undertaken sustainable practices that show respect for the land.

That same commitment to responsible land stewardship extends to Longview Ranch’s annual partnership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, which is dedicated to ensuring the future of elk, their habitat, and hunting heritage.

Several years ago, the area was not well known for its pronghorn antelope population. Through Longview Ranch’s responsible land-use practices, the property has since seen a significant increase in pronghorn. Today, anywhere from 100 to 250 antelope can be found roaming the property.
